Please save the date(s) - We have 3 release concerts coming up-

Thursday, Nov 3  - New York Mills Cultural Center, New York Mills, MN

Thursday, Nov 10 - Princess Theater, St James, MN

Saturday, Nov 19 - Ginkgo Coffeehouse, St Paul, MN (Our guests musicians from the CD, Sandy Njoes on bass and Tom Schaefer on fiddle will be joining us at Ginkgo Coffeehouse!)

Click here for all the details on those concerts. We would love to see you at one of them!

Sandy Njoes added bass tracks to our recording

We had bass player extraordinaire Sandy Njoes in the studio recently, to lay down bass tracks on several songs. OMG, adding that low end has added so much to the recording. We are getting so excited!!  Getting closer all the time!! The fellow in the plaid shirt is Doug Lohman, our recording engineer at Armadillo Sound. After Sandy laid down all her tracks, we had to have a little fun celebrating for the camera!

"Tips on Making a Recording" - Video Part I

As part of our Minnesota State Arts Board grant, we're making 3 videos on "Tips on How to Make a Recording." Whether you're just curious about what happens in a recording studio, or you're a musician wanting info or ideas, this is the video for you. Thanks for taking a listen - we speak for about 10 minutes or so, then play one song that will be on our new CD, at the end of the video. Here's Part 1.

New CD out by early fall!

We are very pleased and thankful to announce that we received a Creative Support for Individuals Grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. We've already started recording our new CD, which will be titled "Lift the World." The grant will enable us to make the CD, do three CD release concerts, and a virtual show. Stay tuned for updates on this project, which will be a collection of songs inspired by the pandemic!  We don't have an official release date yet, but it will be this fall, with concerts on Nov 3 (New York Mills Cultural Center), Nov 12 (Ginkgo Coffeehouse in St Paul), and Nov 17 (Princess Theater in St James, MN). All the details will be on our calendar at curtisandloretta.com/calendar soon!
