43rd Annual Fox Valley Folk Music & Storytelling Festival

FOX VALLEY FOLK FESTIVAL, Island Park, Geneva, IL

The Fox Valley Folk Music & Storytelling Festival is held each year at beautiful Island Park, a 13 acre island in the Fox River located in downtown Geneva, IL, (about 45 miles West of downtown Chicago). The main parking area for the Festival is at the Kane County Government Center is at 719 S. Batavia Avenue, (IL Rt. 31), in Geneva. The METRA Union Pacific West Line Railway station is also located three blocks west of the festival's main entrance. Our Monday schedule - 1 pm - Teaching Workshop - History of Ukulele from Hawaii to Mainland with Playing Tips2 pm - Workshop 1  - "Songs of the British Isles"5 pm - Workshop 1 - "Pete Seeger's Legacy in Music" Note - The performance workshops are with 2 other musicians, 1 hour in length.  Main stage set is 25 minutes. 1 pm Uke Teaching Workshop is Curtis solo (with Loretta), 1 hour.  

$25 donation per day / $15 teens & elders / 12 & under free
